Finally some sunshine

Finally Canyon and I were able to enjoy some much needed outside time. He played on his bike while I painted my toe and fingernails.

He sure loves his bike.

While I painted my nails he watched. Then he put his hand on my leg and said "me, me, me", so I painted his nails. For the next three hours he held his hand out and blew on his nails, he didn't use his hand during that time either. He was determined not to mess up his pretty pink nails. And no I am not ashamed to have a son who likes to look pretty.

Last week the Rogers family took a road trip to sunny St. George. Although it was not all that sunny. Canyon doesn't do well in the car if it is more than an hour or so. We came prepared with DVD's. Unfortunately it only lasted about 1/2 hour.

Canyon loves dogs, especially this one. Oliver would give Canyon kisses. Canyon got to the point of putting his face in Oliver's face just to receive those wet stinky kisses.

The one and only warm and sunny day. We took advantage of the pool. Canyon sporting amazing shades.

Canyon is our next Justin Beiber. (Who ever that is. )

On our trip I learned that Canyon is a deeper sleeper than I thought. Which makes me happy since Canyon and our new little one will be sharing a bedroom very soon. I also learned that he talks in his sleep. He says things like "no no no", "truck, ball, car". And my child moves A LOT in his sleep.

After our trip Canyon was so totally worn out. John said he slept from 1:00-4:30. That is unheard of in the Rogers household.

Today Canyon and I took a bubble bath together. He wanted out so I got him out while I stayed in the tub. He went to the toilet and said "potty, more potty" and then he squatted and preceded to poop on the bathroom floor. Maybe it is time to start potty training?

IT'S A.... boy!

We are Having....

A baby. I am so disappointed that we were not able to make to the hospital to do the ultrasound. I blame UDOT for the unfortunete event. I was driving up to Johns work and almost died 10 times. I couldn't even drive up the street to his work that he had to walk down to me. The roads were so bad and slick. Many roads is SLC were being blocked off by police because of the snow. So thank you UDOT!!! We will find out next Tuesday.

Happy New Year!!

Happy new year and with a new year always comes the new year resolutions. I Haven't thought too much about my goals for the year. Of coarse on everyone's list is to loose weight but that will have to wait. I do know I want to just keep on pluggin along. I want to enjoy the little things life brings and try not to get worked up over them. And I want to be a better wife and mother. Good luck with your resolutions.

So I have some great news now that both my family and Johns family know... We are going to have another baby. Yeah!!! This is our little one. I was 8 weeks when this ultrasound was done, now I am 15 weeks. Our due date is July 1st. I hope Canyon adjusts well to having a new little one around. This pregnancy is different from my others. I was sick for the first 12 weeks. I didn't vomit though. The baby didn't want me to drink Diet Coke which was hard for me to quit. I had a headaches for about one week. I can drink is now but I am trying not to drink a lot. I want McDonald's cheese burgers,... SICK I know. I haven't eaten McDonald's lunches for years. But whatever. I hope I don't gain 50 pounds. I tell the baby she/he can't always get what they want. McDonald's once a week or less is plenty. So if my pregnancy is so different does that mean I am having a girl???

This was Christmas at the Rogers annual white elephant gift exchange. Canyon was trying to take a sneak peak to make sure we wouldn't go home with junk. Unfortunately we did. Thanks David and Lily!!!

Happy LATE Halloween!!

Happy Halloween. Sorry I have been enjoying Canyon so much that blogging was last on my mind. He is amazing and sweet. Our new thing is I pretend I am asleep and he will come kiss my lips until I wake up. Needless to say I do it all the time to get kisses from my little dude.

For Halloween my little fam went to my brother in laws house for his birthday/halloween party which he holds almost every year. This year I was the fancy feast cat and John.... well you can see for yourself who he was, and my sweet little one was a brown bear. We ate amazing authentic mexican food and afterwards went trick or treating. Canyon didn't get it. He wanted to play with the decorations on people porches so we called it a night and didn't drag Canyon house to house for something he didn't care about.

first haircuts and swollen lips

It has been about a month since I last posted. I am eating sugar unfortunately. I am trying not to consume as much as I had, but it is difficult especially at work. I am enjoying Canyon so much. I hate that I work three 12 hours shifts in a row. I miss Canyon so much that it could bring me to tears if I allowed it to. I work a weekend contract, so I work every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Come Monday I am exhausted and all I want to do it cuddle with my main little man. Speaking of my little dude here are some cute pictures.

Three people who saw this picture said Canyon looked like a girl. I suppose it is time to cut a LITTLE off of his hair. Little being the key word.

After. The girl cut his hair straight across his face. No no, I could have done that. Well I did do that. So for the next little while he will get his hair combed to the side.

He loves to shop.

My sister Shani is going to Bulgaria on October 9th to meet her new little daughter. She won't get to bring her home for a few months. This is so exciting. I can't wait to hug my new little ragamuffin gypsy niece, Siska. The little ones name is Yonka. Shannon wanted to keep some of her Bulgarian name so she came up with the name Siska. Siska is an orphan gypsy.

Today Canyon was playing on the drive way. He was so excited when the garbage truck went by that he fell right on his face. He now has a swollen lip.
