Canyon had his MRI today. He did really well. I often wondered how Canyon would be as a patient and it turns out he is a great patient. We got to Primary's at 12:15. He was weighed and measured. His vital signs were taken. The saddest part was seeing him get the IV. He was brave and held still although he didn't have a choice there were three of us holding him. We then took him back to the MRI room where the nurse gave him his sedation drug. It was pretty funny. Canyon didn't want to give in easily. He was in a new place with new people to see. Once he fell asleep the nurse took him from me and put him in the MRI machine. I was suprised that I had no tears or fears.
Here are pictures of the whole event.
Waiting in the waiting room.
He is so happy not knowing what is about to happen.
The NP checking Canyon out.
My favorite picture. He was waiting for the IV to be placed.
So sad. He is so scared and darn it the IV hurts. This was the hardest part to see.
Into the MRI machine he goes.
This is what I came back to when the MRI was complete. My sleeping...
nurse!! What, that's weird. My friend Katie and I didn't know what to do. Do we wake her up, do we laugh, do we leave. We chose to start over; leave and come back in with louder entrance but she woke before we got out the door.
Aww my sweat baby in my arms.
We don't know the results of the MRI right now but I will know soon and post it. Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts. I am sure glad it is done.
Oh poor little guy. I know how you feel. It's so so sad. Those dang iv's are the worst!!! Blake has had like 12 and it never gets easier to watch. Not one bit. I'm glad everything went well. I really hope the tests come back okay. We're still praying. Love ya!
ReplyDeleteHe's such a precious little angel, and so beautiful (okay, John, handsome). Thanks for posting the pictures, Tammy. It's like being there without having to be there. You were so brave! You're in our thoughts and prayers.

He is such a strong kid. I'm so happy that everything is said and done and no more worrying! He is awesome (and so are you).
