Ouch!

My poor little dude has his first diaper rash. I am so sad. His bum is seeping and oozing almost on the verge of bleeding. I don't know how this happened. Three days ago he was just red and then all of a sudden his skin was totally broken down. I sure hope that my skills learned at PCMC will help me heal his bum bum quickly. Part of the healing process is letting his rear get some air on it. So yesterday I let Canyon play outside bare bummed and all.

Today we played out side in Canyons little pool. Canyon naked and me... well not so naked. I don't think the neighbors would appreciate that.

Happy Birthday little boy!!

We celebrated Canyon's birthday this last Saturday. It was totally fun and chaotic. I counted and there were 32 people at my house. I made Canyon's cake, it was a chocolate heart shaped cake with chocolate frosting swirled on it. It looked like a great dane pooped on a plate and then I fed it to Canyon. But he loved it and that is all that matters really.

Weekend project

I have my avocado green door. The color is actually called Pesto. So it's not true avocado green but still amazing. Yeah!! This weekend John and I have finally started putting our personalities into our home. It is kind of funny to watch the faces as neighbors drive by. My street is full of wood, black, cream, and white doors. We are the only green door to be seen. I love it. It is bright and amazing.

It goes great with my lavender flower box. You can't see it in this picture though.

Now pictures of my two boys. Canyon wants to be spiderman.

Canyon loves to play with John's hats. Everyday it puts the hat on his head and makes his way around the house. If I am not careful he will take himself and the hat into the bathroom to play in the toilet.

My 1 year old

I can't believe that is just one week my person is going to be a year old. He was so tiny and sweet. Well he is still sweet but not so tiny. One year goes by so fast. He is cutting his 5th tooth, he has lots of crazy hair, he takes 14 steps, he loves balls. He can say book, truck which comes out "uck" and ball which comes out "baaa". Canyon loves to fall asleep in my arms as I hum Nearer my God to Thee. He loves his dad. And he loves blueberries. There isn't much that Canyon doesn't like.

In one week we will be celebrating his birthday with friends and family. I can't wait to watch him eat his cake and play with JELLO in a little swimming pool.
